With flu season coming just around the corner many state officials are suggesting businesses ease up on sick leave for employees. These changes of policies will hopefully reduce the number of contagious employees in the work area, reducing the number of flu cases.

Interesting story with all the current concern about the Swine Flu. Nice story selection and good job breaking it down.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed your article review. It would be nice if employers were not so strict about sick leave. I know at my employer they do make some small allowances when it comes to sick time. You get eight hours of make up time a month. So if you are calling in it doesn’t automatically count against you. I wonder if more employers will get similar policies.
ReplyDeleteI hope employers ease up on sick leave, I know mine hasn't. They basically push you to come in no matter what. It is difficult now, especially with the H1N1 going around. People should stay home if they are ill and employers should deal with it.
